The summary is okay. The total page count is misleading because each page has about two paragraphs. It summarizes each of 12 lessons and that’s it. It then gives maybe 2 more paragraphs on the author’s perspective. For the price, I suppose that’s good enough.

The main takeaway of this book is that a leader must take complete ownership for those aspects of an organization for which he (or she) is responsible. Two former combat SEAL team leaders, Willink and Babin maintain that teams are only as good as their leaders, egos are obstacles to finding solutions, and discipline in teams results in more freedom for team members to excel.

Instareads has done it again and given a wonderful summary of this book "Extreme Ownership" written by Jocko Willink and Leif Babin. The purpose of the book is to help guide you in applying leadership principles from the Navy SEALS to your business or work in general. From what I was reading this even looks like it could be a book that is beneficial to read just to use the principles in your everyday life.
