Uninvited

Uninvited

Do you ever feel left out, lonely, or less than? Today, learn the secret of belonging which will help you keep rejections in perspective and be better equipped to foster healthy connections in your relationships.

In Uninvited, Lysa shares her own deeply personal experiences of rejection from the perceived judgment of the perfectly toned woman one elliptical over to the incredibly painful childhood abandonment by her father. She leans in to honestly examine the roots of rejection, as well as rejection's ability to poison relationships from the inside out, including our relationship with God. With biblical depth, gut honest vulnerability, and refreshing wit, Lysa will help you:
Stop feeling left out by believing that even when you are overlooked by others you are handpicked by God.Change your tendency to either fall apart or control the actions of others by embracing God-honoring ways to process your hurt.Know exactly what to pray for the next ten days to steady your soul and restore your confidence in the midst of rejection.Overcome the two core fears that feed your insecurities by understanding the secret of belonging.
Uninvited reminds us we are destined for a love that can never be diminished, tarnished, shaken, or taken—a love that does not reject or uninvite.

  • Thankful

Great book that helped me to really understand rejection and how to overcome it. Lisa made so many great points about surrendering to God’s love. I don’t think I understood how this feeling can rob you of so much if you don’t draw close to God. I’m thankful for all the words written. I truly feel God has lifted this from my heart.

  • Pretty good, but not my thing.

I read this in a church book group. It’s great if you struggle with loneliness. I believe this book is meant for someone! However, i’m not a big fan of self-help books as they are often repetitive. Each chapter wasn’t that different in my opinion, but i get this a lot when I read self help books.

This book was amazing! It really opened my eyes to how issues from my childhood has impacted every life changing decision in my life. Only God has the ability to heal and restore and when we run to Him instead of other things He will do just that.

  • From A Male Reader

What an incredible book. I have to admit I’ve only read a dozen or so books by women. I’to more from a presumed lack of connection across gender lines more than anything else. Lisa’s book providentially found its way to me, and I am so grateful to have read it. As one who has struggled with rejection issues for nearly 45 years, this book was so helpful. Hearing her own process and progress bred hope for me. I five-star recommend this one to anyone - male or female.
