Although the United States is an educated and prosperous nation, Americans sometimes suffer terribly when it comes to their health. • Key Takeaways and Analysis of Dr. Joel Fuhrman’s ‘Eat to Live’

This is not the actual book by Dr. Fuhrman. It has no actual tips, either as examples of types of food items to insert into your daily diet, or advice on combinations of diet and exercise. You buy this and you have paid for the publisher’s advertisement for Dr. Fuhrman’s books. There is nothing of value in this book unless you enjoy hearing a publisher praise one of their offerings without giving you even the least little sample of what they are promoting. If you are serious about diet, exercise and building a healthy lifestyle, take a chance and buy the book, not the advertisement.

  • Fixing problems are important!

This is a summary of Joel Fuhrman's "Eat to Live" and is not the actual book. Healthy eating is one of my passions. As soon as I had my first child, I knew that I wanted to make a change in our family's diet. I really enjoyed reading this summary. It is divided into eight key takeaways that analyze the main points in the original book. This book discusses "why" obesity is such a problem in America as well as how we can have healthy diets. Obesity isn't the only problem with poor diets. Poor diets also lead to several chronic diseases such as depression and diabetes. If you are looking to make a healthy life change, read this summary.

  • Diets are essential

Eureka Books’ Eat to Live: The Amazing Nutrient-Rich Program for Fast and Sustained Weight Loss by Joel Fuhrman, MD | Key Takeaways, Analysis & Review is a great summary of Dr. Fuhrman’s guide to help Americans achieve and sustain a healthy lifestyle, particularly regarding their eating habits. The author maintains that Americans, despite living in the world’s richest country, are prey to a variety of illnesses, many related to the American diet, which is high in foods with poor nutritional value. Americans are among the fattest people on the planet, with 34% of the population categorized as obese. While much of this problem is due to personal choices people make, it is also abetted by government programs, advertising, and corporate influence over the American diet.

  • Fun to read.

We are animals and it has been shown that those who eat fewer calories tend to live longer. A nutrient-rich diet is the main theme in this book BUT you are not going to get any recipes, lists and/or quantities of food to eat etc. in this summary. If you are really interested in this you will want to read the 327 page original. Have to say there was not much in this summary that I did not already know but depending on your lifestyle, to others it may be all new.
