Justice for Mickie

Justice for Mickie

It wasn’t about keeping her safe from the motorcycle club anymore, although that was still a concern—it was about a man spending time with a woman who he was interested in.

For Cruz Livingston, becoming an FBI agent is a lifelong dream, guarding the streets of San Antonio a calling. His latest assignment—infiltrating the Red Brothers Motorcycle Club—will help stem the flow of illegal drugs brought into the city by the violent gang. He expects the job to be dangerous. He doesn’t expect to meet the woman of his dreams while undercover.

Mickie Kaiser is refreshingly sweet, but her sister is intimately involved with the RBMC’s president. Cruz can’t afford to come clean about his double life without putting his operation in danger, but as violence creeps ever closer to Mickie, his priority becomes crystal clear. Cruz will do anything to keep Mickie alive…even if it means losing her love.

* Justice for Mickie is the 2nd book in the Badge of Honor: Texas Heroes series. Each book is a stand-alone, with no cliffhanger endings.

** This story features some very bad men, doing very bad things. The Red Brothers MC is up to its eyeballs in criminal and nefarious activities, including drugs, violence, and sexual abuse. The Brothers definitely don’t know how to treat their women…but our alpha FBI hero does. And he’s determined to protect his woman from the MC. At any cost.

Reviews
  • Really liked characters and storyline but

The characters and storyline were very realistic and on target with what happens with gangs, drugs, and the challenges that law enforcement faces. Some minor editing issues but nothing major to take away from the overall story. What I did see as an issue and lessened my enjoyment of the book was the never ending bad language. Some would be expected. Every other word almost is seems was not needed to convey the story.

  • Suspenseful and Hot

Cruz is an FBI agent undercover with a motorcycle gang, seeking their drug source. What he doesn’t expect to find is Mickie. Mickie is a concerned older sister trying to get her sister to stop hanging out with very bad men. But all her efforts have no effect. When she “runs into” Cruz, she’s smitten. As Cruz get closer to his goal, and to Mickie, things get more dangerous. But the scariest thing may be what will happen when Mickie finds out the about Cruz’s lies.

  • Not sure how she did her research

Liked the love interest here, but this is not an easy book to read with respect to the inner workings of a motorcycle club.
