Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them: The Original Screenplay

When Magizoologist Newt Scamander arrives in New York, he intends his stay to be just a brief stopover. However, when his magical case is misplaced and some of Newt's fantastic beasts escape, it spells trouble for everyone...

Inspired by the original Hogwart’s textbook by Newt Scamander, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them: The Original screenplay marks the screenwriting debut of J.K. Rowling, author of the beloved and internationally bestselling Harry Potter books. A feat of imagination and featuring a cast of remarkable characters and magical creatures, this is epic adventure-packed storytelling at its very best. Whether an existing fan or new to the wizarding world, this is a perfect addition for any film lover or reader’s bookshelf.

The film Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them will have its theatrical release on 18th November 2016.

  • Fantastic Beasts Script 1

The Fantastic Beasts book is good. It was hard for me to get into it at times but it was decent. This novel is written by J.K. Rowling and is presented in script form. If you enjoyed Harry Potter, you should read Fantastic Beasts. One tip is since there is stage references in the script (and you don’t or aren’t familiar with acting) is near the back of the book there is a stage glossary that can be helpful to those who may not understand some stuff in the book. Overall, this was a good book.

  • Fantastic beats unique writing style

Just as good as the Harry Potter because it’s unique writing style. The style goes into the world we all ready know and goes in a different direction . Yeah maybe it’s more dark but that doesn’t mean it’s bad .

  • I watched the movie... it was really dark

So I only watched the movie and like I said it was really dark. It had not witchcraft that Harry Potter had, I feel like that was good witchcraft and wizardry but the movie was pretty creepy. With that little girl who was evil and was like killing everyone I did not like it! I still love Harry Potter, it very captivating in the world of hogwarts. Not an enjoyable movie but I’ll se about the book

  • Epic

First and foremost, Newt is my favorite. Ever. Secondly: some people think this story doesn’t deserve all the hype it gets. I disagree. Remember how the first Harry Potter book was more of a simple, innocent story that grew into something deeper? I think Fantastic Beasts will do the same—just give it time. But I’m not saying the first story is boring. In fact, it’s the opposite! We get a glimpse into magic in America, and learn about new creatures. And the characters completely blew me away! ...especially Newt. 😊🧳🦄 P.S: We get a protagonist who’s a Hufflepuff? Yes please!
