Leverage in Death

Leverage in Death

Lieutenant Eve Dallas puzzles over a bizarre suicide bombing in a Wall St. office building in Leverage in Death, the latest in the #1 New York Times bestselling series from J.D. Robb…

For the airline executives finalizing a merger that would make news in the business world, the nine a.m. meeting would be a major milestone. But after marketing VP Paul Rogan walked into the plush conference room, strapped with explosives, the headlines told of death and destruction instead. The NYPSD’s Eve Dallas confirms that Rogan was cruelly coerced by two masked men holding his family hostage. His motive was saving his wife and daughter—but what was the motive of the masked men?

Despite the chaos and bad publicity, blowing up one meeting isn’t going to put the brakes on the merger. All it’s accomplished is shattering a lot of innocent lives. Now, with the help of her billionaire husband Roarke, Eve must untangle the reason for an inexplicable act of terror, look at suspects inside and outside both corporations, and determine whether the root of this crime lies in simple sabotage, or something far more complex and twisted.

  • Eve does it again

Again Eve peabody and Roark kept you engaged. there was no way to conclude who the killer would be but i love how it’s all methodological worked through. Love to see glimpses of Mavis, Bella and Leonardo kept in the writing like true friends and extension of Eves family circle. love that although Eve is hard on Peabody she does bend and shows she can be a true friend as well as a boss. especially like Eve and Roark relationship where their pass always comes up between them but they don’t let it separate them and caused true rift. they worked through it in the most unconventional ways! i’ve read every book in order. although this is my first review. going on to the next and know i will not be disappointed!

I always enjoy these books. J.D. Robb is a fantastic author. Her stories are always great, informative and interesting. This one’s about a couple of men who do bad things for profit. Robb shows you how they did something kind of like insider trading. How if an artist work is wreaked and something happens to the artist and his/her work. This was a very interesting book as usual. I like that Peabody got one of her dreams come true courtesy of Eve. You will have to read it to know what that was.

  • Riveting from beginning to end!

I really wish this could be a TV series. Every single story is a cliffhanger.
