From Breath and Ruin

From Breath and Ruin

I thought I was human. Then my crush shows me a new world. One I must save. It is said the Spirit Priestess will one day unite the two Kingdoms of the Maison Realm. She will one day fight alongside Wielders and unlock the five elements of power. It wasn’t until I nearly died that I realized they were talking about me. They tell me I have the power to save the world, and yet the war raging around me seems insurmountable. I must rely on those I thought shunned me long ago: a boy who isn’t who I thought, and a new realm of warriors who have come to protect me. The darkness is coming, and the Queen of Obscurité wants to ensure that the King of Lumière can’t get his hands on me. And to make that happen, the Queen will sacrifice anything—including me.

It sûcked. Dont bother.. it starts out great! It holds such promise! But dont bother.. youll just be frustratingly annoyed... i cant write its why im not a writer myself i try to be kind when leaving reviews so ill say that whoever wrote this is obviously a writer.. but yeah its a bunch of fluff.. and the female character is weak through the whole book and whiney... its annoying .. its like every other book in this genre.. girl meets boy girl learns shes magical girl and boy connect then girl whines about responsibility for the whole book seriously dont read this unless youre 10 or something...

  • Hard to get through

This book.. did anyone proof read this book before publishing?? The authors thoughts are disjointed and sporadic. I can honestly say I learned no new information from the 3rd chapter to the last. There was no hero story arc, she physically did a lot of walking, but didn’t grow as a character. There were entire chapters of Lyric saying the same thing 12 different ways. Her entire relationship is built upon just thinking he’s cute. There’s probably 24 lines of dialogue in the entire book. The antagonist reveals themselves and their entire plot in one chapter without Lyric having to do or say anything. The amount of times I read “I’ll think about that later”. *eye roll* There is such potential with the idea of this world, but everything, and I mean everything, just came up short. This book was awful. 10/10 don’t waste your time. It doesn’t get better.

  • Brand new excitement!

This is a brand new series from Carrie Ann Ryan, a YA series, filled with magic and elements and all kinds of intriguing aspects. Lyric is trying to figure out what she wants to do with her life, choose what to do for college, when she keeps experiencing nightmares. She feels it has to do with life choices, until she goes on a hike with some friends. After that, life will never be the same again. This is just the start. Can’t wait to see all the experiences yet to come

  • Fantastic Job!

As per usual another great book series! This was a new genre for me and I’m so glad I took the chance to read it. This book is a gem and I fell in love with all of the characters so easily. These kids where on a wild breath taking adventure and I can’t wait for the next installment!
