Asking for Trouble

Asking for Trouble

After three years in Credence trying to fade into the background, Della Munroe is sick of being invisible. She’s ready to take back control. To live a little. Hell, she’s ready to see what this dating fuss is all about. And if that means she has to download Tinder and date every guy in Colorado, then she’s up for it.

After her first disastrous attempt, she decides navigating online dating would be better with a wingman, and there’s no better person for it than Tucker Daniels. After all, he is a man. And he owns a bar, which practically makes him a relationship expert. He’s also her older brother’s best friend. Yes, she may have the teeniest tiny inconvenient crush on him, but he’s always had her back.

Tucker Daniels would rather eat broken glass than watch Della go out with a bunch of douchebag dudes only out for one thing. Unfortunately, he’s never been able to say no to her, and before he knows it, Tucker’s not only vetting her dates—he’s teaching her to drive, helping her move out, and buying her a puppy!

But when Della wants him to tutor her in more intimate arts, he freaks out. Because this little sister is strictly off-limits, and saying yes to Della is asking for a whole lot of trouble.

  • Great Books!

This is the first time I’ve ever left a review. I have to say I loved the books! It was sexy without being over the top the writing flowed and kept me engaged. And I actually laughed out loud at some of the scenes! Highly recommend!

  • Asking for Trouble

I received a complimentary copy of this book and I am voluntarily reviewing it. I loved reading this book. There were some hilariously funny sections that I just had to close the e-reader down so I could finish laughing. I so loved reading Della and Tucker's story. Della had a tragic childhood and escaping her father led to further tragedy. She has been living with her new-found brother, Arlo. Arlo is the sheriff and lives in Credence, CO. (Oh how I would love to live in this town!!!!) After three years of living with Arlo and bi-monthly therapy sessions in Denver, Della is ready to get her groove back. She has developed a crush on Tucker, the hot bartender/owner of the local bar. After the abuse that she has suffered, she only wants a temporary relationship as she figures that she is too broken for marriage and children. Tucker is a childhood friend of Arlo's. Tucker knows some of the details of Della's life and has been a good friend to her. He also has developed feelings for Della but with her past and being her brother's best friend, Della is off-limits. I just became so absorbed into the story and Della's "coming" out of her shell, that the pages just flew by (except for some scenes that again were so funny that I had to stop.) This book is written in my favorite dual POV. That really helps me to connect with the characters. In this case, connecting with Della would have been hard if I didn't have a glimpse into her thoughts and feelings. I have not gone through what was her background so identifying with her would have been hard otherwise. While this is a part of a series, you do not have to read the prior stories to enjoy this one. I highly recommend this for anyone over the age of 18.

  • 3.5 Stars

3.5 Stars I definitely struggled with this book. I really liked both characters in the beginning of this story and I loved that Della asked for help. She went through a lot with her ex-husband. Everything she's been through made some of her behavior even more unacceptable to me. I don't want to spoil any parts of this story for anyone else but I will say that when someone tells you their boundaries, respect them, regardless of why you think they have those boundaries. I've read all three books in this series and this was the only one that I felt I had to push myself to finish.

  • Raw & honest journey with a beautifully sexy & sweet romance

Della gives hope for anyone that has endured the unthinkable, you can come out of it better and stronger. When Arlo brought her to Credence, she was broken but with Arlo’s determination and a community that embraced her, she found her way back to living. She finds herself ready to venture into dating, something she skipped going from high school to a husband. The biggest challenge is she has no experience at dating so Tucker becomes her wingman. Tucker has been a listening ear for Della when she needed it. She captured his heart a long time ago but because she is Arlo’s sister, he keeps his distance. Now he is coaching her in dating as well as improving her bedroom skills with the stipulation this is temporary. Can something that feels so right really be temporary? I loved this journey, it is raw and honest while delivering a beautifully sexy and sweet romance.
