Die Trying

Die Trying

Jack Reacher finds himself in bad company in the second novel in Lee Child’s #1 New York Times bestselling series.

DON'T MISS REACHER ON PRIME VIDEO!

Jack Reacher is an innocent bystander when he witnesses a woman kidnapped off a Chicago street in broad daylight. In the wrong place at the wrong time, he’s kidnapped with her. Chained together, locked in the back of a stifling van, and racing across America to an unknown destination for an unknown purpose, they’re at the mercy of a group of men demanding an impossible ransom. Because this mysterious woman is worth more than Reacher ever suspected. Now he has to save them both—from the inside out—or die trying....

  • Madness

Reacher seems to get into it every book and manages to get himself out of the mess just as quickly. Sometimes the details are a bit much but so far these books are a good read. He’s definitely a good guy and we all love a hero.

  • The first 2/3 of the book lacked action.

Lame plot. The kidnappers had no use for Reacher; they should have killed him. If Reacher was so smart, he would have taken out all three bad guys rather than waiting until there were many more at the final destination. The bad guy wanted Holly for something other than a hostage; never explained what, so the reason behind her kidnapping isn’t answered. Wouldn’t the spy planes circling the area be able to spot a serviceable track through the forest. Given the roads around the area were blocked off, how did the van get through? Child one-upped the 1st Reacher move by having two bad FBI agents instead of one. Not original.. Too many thriller writers use FBI/CIA traitors.
