I love the trope of second chance romances so that made picking this book easy. I thought the story was good but found the MMC not believable. I just couldn’t imagine him logically behaving the way he does when he’s older. The younger version seemed more palatable. Read it in a day and not mad that I did.

At one time I gave this book only 4 stars but, I’ve realized everything by Lisa Kleypas is 5 stars. At the time I gave this book 5 stars I was only reading books by Lisa K. But seriously all of her books are really perfect 10s. I’ve never read one that I wanted to put down.

I’d already read the Wallflowers series so I was aware of who Aline and Olivia were as part of Westcliff’s backstory. But this was an unexpected delight to read Aline’s and Olivia’s own stories and see how they landed where they did when they surface in the Wallflowers books. Westcliff is one of my favorite of Kleypas’ recurring characters, so it was great to get more storytelling including him and his sisters. The end had me tearing up!
