Fire and Ice

Fire and Ice

“In the gripping Fire and Ice, Jance showcases both Beaumont and Brady….The prolific Jance…is in fine form.”

—Fort Lauderdale Sun-Sentinel

New York Times bestseller J.A. Jance reunites two of her most popular series characters—Cochise County Sheriff Joanna Brady and Seattle detective J.P. Beaumont—in Fire and Ice, as the separate investigations into grisly homicides in two different states shockingly intertwine. As Jance proved in her previous Beau/Brady pairing, Partner in Crime, when these two join forces, fireworks happen. Fire and Ice is not to be missed.

A great read. I'm not a fan of crossovers when it comes to books but this worked out well. There really isn't a whole lot of interaction between the two main characters, which was fine by me. There were no mistakes and the e-book version here was great, earlier technical complaints have been fixed. The story was great, but my only complaint was that there was no real climax. There was no big wrap. Not a cliffhanger, but ended too suddenly, leaving me wanting more. Either way, definitely suggest it to a j.a. Jance reader. If you're new to the series, this is not the place to start.

I too found the lack of proof reading to be a pain. I wish I could get my money back so I could buy the paper back version instead. Don't waste your money on the digital version there is a mistake on almost ever page. I am very disappointed in the quality of this book.

  • A technical complaint...

I'm a big fan of both the J. P. Beaumont, and Joanna Brady series, and they are reunited again in this novel. However, my review and rating of the storyline will come once I finish the book. This comment is an emphatic complaint about the lack of proofreading done in this eBook. There is rarely a page that doesn't run at least two words together and I find this inexcusable, as well as irritating, especially since I paid for this book! I wish I could get my money back. Then I'd go to a bookstore and get the real book.
