I always love Patricia Cornwall but this book fell far short of the mark. Too many story lines that tied together poorly. Sorry, this on was a stinker. A. Fan (of all but this one)

I was glad to see a book by P. C. That was supposedly on the lighter side, but this was just too far fetched and idiotic to even finish! A governor that is so ridiculous that he could never have been elected in the first place and never tolerated in the second place. The story is needlessly convoluted so that the characters can have something to 'solve'. A total waste of time and space.

Very creative, story line was good. The talking and typing animals was an interesting twist! Good read for many age groups.
