Midnight in Death

Midnight in Death

J. D. Robb's #1 New York Times bestselling In Death series explodes with intrigue, passion, and suspense in this novella about the darkest night of Lieutenant Eve Dallas's life—when a killer comes to call...

Eve's name has made a Christmas list, but it's not for being naughty or nice.  It's for putting a serial killer behind bars.  Now the escaped madman has her in his sights.  With her husband, Roarke, at her side, Eve must stop the man from exacting his bloody vengeance—or die trying...

Midnight in Death previously appeared in Silent Night

  • Cheated Lynn-Clarke

I started reading Midnight in Death & early in the first chapter “Midnight” changed to “Naked in Death”. That’s right a completely different novel. I never found out how Dallas met her husband Roarke, how their relationship blossomed, nothing because the novel never returned to narrative, the crime, the Eve Dallas who was single and who had never met her future husband which was the one I purchased. Sure it was only $2.99 but I deserved at least a moderately entertaining novel. I am truly disappointed.

  • Great writer

    J. D. Robb makes Lt. Eve Dallas a totally believable character with a believable life. Robb knows her subject so well and writes so well that you believe that Dallas is a real homicide detective with real homicide cases that she and her team solve with great skill. I really like Robb and also like her original self of Nora Roberts. But as Robb she’s one of the best. I savor her Dallas mysteries!! 😊

  • Wrote Better

Good but not as well as other Robb books. Ending could have been more thrilling.

  • Great!

I have all of the Eve Dallas books by JD Robb. I never get tired of reading them. This book was fast-paced and a great read. JD Robb has developed the characters exquisitely. If you have never read this series, try it. Can guarantee you'll be hooked!
