I have to say it was a nice change to read about Joe. I have found I am really enjoying this series about Elvis and Joe. I actually read the last book 1st because it was on my bookbub recommended list and it was on sale. I was hooked. Period.

The beauty of these books are the way the characters are interwoven like a fine tapestry. And Crais is the closer.

It’s been a long time since I’ve had to force myself to put down a book to get some sleep. I did guess part of it at the beginning, but it really wasn’t a focal point of the story. Joe Pike’s thoughts and actions kept me reading. I am recommending this book to my friends!
