The Da Vinci Code

The Da Vinci Code

#1 WORLDWIDE BESTSELLER • While in Paris, Harvard symbologist Robert Langdon is awakened by a phone call in the dead of the night. The elderly curator of the Louvre has been murdered inside the museum, his body covered in baffling symbols.

“Blockbuster perfection.... A gleefully erudite suspense novel.” —
The New York Times

“A pulse-quickening, brain-teasing adventure.” —People

As Langdon and gifted French cryptologist Sophie Neveu sort through the bizarre riddles, they are stunned to discover a trail of clues hidden in the works of Leonardo da Vinci—clues visible for all to see and yet ingeniously disguised by the painter.

Even more startling, the late curator was involved in the Priory of Sion—a secret society whose members included Sir Isaac Newton, Victor Hugo, and Da Vinci—and he guarded a breathtaking historical secret. Unless Langdon and Neveu can decipher the labyrinthine puzzle—while avoiding the faceless adversary who shadows their every move—the explosive, ancient truth will be lost forever.

Reviews
  • Pretty good

The writing is pretty sucky but the plot and storyline was fantastic. It was hard to get through just because the writing really bothered me but it was entertaining enough. I wouldn’t suggest it but its okay

  • Boring and tedious

This book was a drag to get through. It took forever to get to the end and not a very interesting plot.

  • The Da Vinci Code

I wanted to read the book because I saw the movie a lot and wanted to compare the two of them. I think the book is full of detail that the movie doesn’t have.

  • A Good Book to Relax and Enjoy

It’s been a while since I read this book, but I enjoyed it even more this second time than I did the first. It certainly doesn’t hurt that so many people act as if this book came from the theology section instead of the fiction section. A story that gets people’s feathers up because they’re too busy taking themselves far too seriously: what’s not to love?!
