Midnight Sins

Midnight Sins

His name is Rafer Callahan. He was a kid from the wrong side of the tracks who fought through life the only way he knew how: with his fists. But Rafer never meant to bring any harm to Cambria Flannigan, the girl—the lover—whose sister he'd been unable to save…

Cami lost her sister in the brutal murders that rocked her hometown so many years ago. Some still believe that Rafe, along with his friends Logan and Crowe, were involved. But how could Rafe—who haunted her girlish dreams, then her adult fantasies—be a killer? That is the question that keeps her up at night.

Now a prosperous ranch owner, Rafe is trying to build a new legacy for himself. It's finally time to settle the score with Cami—and make her his. But old wounds open up with a series of new murders…and each of the victims has a connection to Rafe, Logan, and Crowe. With suspicion, fear, and loyalty tearing her apart, Cami is once again at risk of losing her heart—or her life.

  • Great author but inconsistent story

I’m a huge fan of Lora Leigh, I’ve read almost every single breed book and elite ops and all that and I was honestly really surprised at all the inconsistencies in the story of this. This would’ve been probably one of her strongest series and better story lines had a little more time taken out to edit this. It was very confusing and I almost stopped reading a couple times but wanted to see it through and finish it. The story felt very jumbled and like it was trying to be crammed into one.

  • Super hot

This book was amazing from beginning to end. Kept me on the edge of my seat and super steamy love scenes.

Details, details, editing. Can't talk about nightgown in one sentence and then talk about her wearing shorts/shirts and then back to nightgown coming off all on one page - gotta keep it consistent. Several time in this e-book I had to re-read to determine what might really be happening. Liked the book and the plot, ready for the next one but don't rush get it right - frustrating otherwise.

  • Just bad...

I can't believe I paid $7.99 for this book. The best part of the book is the 1st chapter, which is the sample I read and was intrigued. Proofreading aside, the storyline is so weak, repetitive, and there is so much sex (same scenes looping it seems) that I must have skipped through 60% of the book. And I still don't know the who or the why of the plot. Seriously? Sorry for being this harsh, but I hope this helps the author when writing future books.

  • It was ok

I have noticed that with this author recently, she is either being a little redundant or isn't completely on point. While I enjoyed the story, I finally had to give up some of the inconsistencies and just except that people's names changes or she tells contradictions of the plot. It would be a lot better if she would take her time and have a better proofer. If that person had read it twice in a row or if Leigh had a better outline or even a family tree it would have been a better story!
