A sports hero seeks a comeback in this wildly funny and ultimately redemptive novel.
His name, as we all know, is Herbert X. “Tree” Tremont, and he’s the richest and most celebrated athlete of our time—a multicultural golfing icon with fifty-three Tour wins, thirteen major victories, a smoking hot wife, and two adorable kids. But when a reporter uncovers evidence that Tree’s sexual appetites are as prodigious as his tee shots, his public and private lives collide, producing the juiciest scandal in sports history. In this wickedly funny novel that takes readers between the ropes and the sheets of the PGA Tour as never before, the only thing more entertaining than Tree’s downfall is his quest for redemption.

How do you write the Tiger Woods story using somewhat different twists, ie, bashed by a poker iron instead of a 7 iron, Bill Martinson instead of Phil Mickelson? I guess the authors figured if they went ahead and wrote the sleazy story of Tiger's downfall, they would sell some books, but if Tiger sued them, they would sell a million books. Win, win. It was a fascinating ride through the whole Tiger episode with an insider's fly-on-the-wall perspective. We get to visit the yacht, the private jets, the magnificent homes as if the author had truly been there. How much of it is close to the truth? Who cares. Quick, fun read for any golf fan

I was interested in this book since somewhere, either in the reviews or the description, there were references to this being a great golf book. I found the book to significantly miss the mark. Is it fiction or non-fiction? At times I wanted to say to the author "if you want to write fiction then please come up with your own story and if this is non-fiction do the research and write it as such.".

Great book, curious of its accuracy, but fun nonetheless.

This was such a good read and kept me interested the whole way through. I don't like not knowing which parts are true and which are pure fiction though, because I actually look at Tiger in a different way now.
