This multimedia edition features the full audio book for each story, making it easy to listen and read along at the same time.

Synopsis:
Edgar Allan Poe is often cited as fathering the modern detective story.  In this newly released multimedia edition trilogy you follow C. Auguste Dupin as he tries to perfect the idea of "ratiocination" or the "art of reasoning and rational". The trilogy begins with 1841 short story, "The Murders in the Rue Morgue" which follows Dupin trying to solve a double murder in Paris. The sequel, 1842's, "The Mystery of Marie Roget", again follows Dupin as he tries to solve the murder of Marie Roget, whose body is found in a local Paris river. The final installment in the series, 1844's "The Purloined Letter", follows Dupin's attempt to recover a letter stolen from a private sitting room.
