Living Space

Living Space

Three stories for the price of one from a Science Fiction Grand Master.
“Living Space”— It’s nice to own an entire planet. Clarence Rimbro owns his own personal planet Earth. You see, there are an infinity of possible Earths, each existing in its own parallel universe. A perfect solution to overpopulation is to give everyone their own earth in an alternate universe. So Clarence and his family is totally alone right? Then why are there noises and shaking going on his own private earth?

“Someday”— Boys love stories of adventure no matter what age they live in. In the future, boys dismantle and upgrade an old Bard, a child's computer whose sole function is to generate random fairy tales to entertain children. The boys download a book about computers into the Bard's memory in an attempt to expand its vocabulary and update the tales the Bard tell. But something doesn’t go as planned.

“Let’s Get Together”— The Cold War has endured for a century and an uneasy peace between "Us" and "Them" exists. A secret agent arrives in America from Moscow with the story that robots identical to humans in appearance and behavior have been developed by Them and that ten have already been infiltrated into America. When they get together, they will trigger a nuclear-level explosion because together they have the components of a total conversion bomb. A bomb that will destroy Us!
