I started reading the book simply because it was written by Brandon Sanderson, but what can I say except that the story is brilliant! A new magic system, a world so familiar yet different, and hooks enough to keep you wanting more … I really hope this becomes a series that I can continue reading!

I never in my life thought I’d give a Brandon Sanderson book a low review. Was this written for children? Because if so, it went simple in the worst ways. It doesn’t even feel like it was written by him. It feels like he just slapped his name on it. I just... there’s a lot off about this title and I don’t like it at all. I’m still rating it higher than some but sheesh.

I am looking forward to the hopeful sequel to this great book! Brandon Sanderson has once ahead gone and broken down the gates of originality and put his ideas in power. An incredible read.
