Polostan

Polostan

From the #1 New York Times bestselling author of Termination Shock, the first installment in a monumental new trilogy—an expansive historical epic of intrigue and international espionage, presaging the dawn of the Atomic Age.

Reviews
  • Too many tributaries. Not enough river.

Ms. Forest Gump: communist, terrorist, murderer, and victim. Intelligent and foolish. Life is like a box of Tommy guns. Present and participant in all significant events in the US and Russia in the 1930’s. Far too much detail/filler that does little to if anything to advance the plot. Was the author paid by the word?

  • Polo.

Some of the writing is exquisite — the walk through Chicago’s world fair gets a chef’s kiss. But I’m lost with polo. I don’t know how to care about that sport as a vehicle for a global story.
