L.A. private eye Elvis Cole is hired by popular television star Jodie Taylor to delve into her past and identify the biological parents who gave her up for adoption thirty-six years before. Cole's assignment is to find out their biological history and report back.

I like Elvis Cole and Joe Pike. Crais does a good job developing characters. After I read his books I have a visual of each character in my mind and I am always rooting for Cole and Pike. I can’t wait to read the rest of his books.

This was the best in the series so far for me. Nice plot twist at the end and Pike wasn't the only one to save the day. A little more romance didn't hurt either.
