Sweetest Surrender

Sweetest Surrender

A woman on the run…

Angel has been on her own for two years, moving from place to place to outrun her past. With no family and few friends to lean on, she’s managed to keep her secrets and stay safe. But when her past suddenly catches up to her, she has a choice to make. Run or stay and claim her life once more.

He’ll stop at nothing to protect her…

Vadim has never let anyone close to him—until Angel. From the first time he met her, everything changed. As a private consultant for Wyatt Christiansen, he’s good with computers and he’s got connections to unearth people’s deepest, darkest secrets. When Angel’s life is threatened Vadim steps in and uses all his resources to end the threat once and for all. As the danger closes in, he lies to her in an effort to protect her, not realizing that even once the threat is eliminated, he might lose her anyway.

  • Sweetest Surrender

Sweet and Suspenseful in Sin City. Sweetest Surrender is the third book in the Serafina Sin City Series. This is another well written book by Ms. Reus. You do not need to read the prior books to be able to get into the action of this book. This is the story of Vadim and Angel. Vadim comes off to most women as scary and unapproachable. Angel thinks the complete opposite of this. She considers him her friend. Vadim is somewhat awkward when dealing with women, which is kind of sweet. Vadim and Angel each have a secret attraction for the other but are afraid or unwilling to act on it. When the past that Angel is running from comes back to haunt her then Vadim goes into uber-protective mode, which causes some problems for him as Angel is independent and doesn’t want to rely on him. The suspense is well written. The characters are likeable and believable. There are some really great sexy scenes in between the action. Any, who doesn’t love a hero that has a great dog named Charlie? I was provided an ARC of this book for an honest review (but I also purchased the book )
