  I didn't know so much interesting things about the birds of prey like a passionate Helen Macdonald is able to tell in her memoirs, and the story is compelling, I have always being fascinated by the falcons and I think I understand that she desired to train them, as a great project.   Very nice story, sometimes the things we think are simple, are behind much pain and complications. Helen definitely was a person with great determination and strength, I admire greatly for having taken their passions beyond. Very interesting analysis

  This is a great review of the book "H is for Hawk" and does a good job explaining all significant themes as well as analyzing each character of the original book. I would suggest this for anyone who wishes to read the book as well as this review.

• fantastic book

  Macdonald reveals how raising Mabel the goshawk helped her heal after her father’s sudden death. I was inspired by it and as a lover of birds of prey it was such a great read. Helen is a remarkable woman. Lovely story to read.
